Although born in Colorado, Darren has lived in Arizona for over 30 years. The majority of his childhood years were spent as a young hunter growing up in the White Mountains located in the eastern portion of the state. After graduation from high school, Darren served his country in the US Air Force, while stationed at Elmendorf, AFB in Alaska. Once back in Arizona, he earned a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and a Masters of Education at Northern Arizona University. Happily married, he and his wife have two wonderful sons, and make their home in northern Arizona.
Darren is an avid hunter, a professional guide, a volunteer conservationist, and a freelance outdoor writer and photographer. Each year he spends countless hours in the field hunting big game species in his home state of Arizona, and across the US. For Darren, “Life is about hunting with family and friends!
